Taylor of "Kool and the Gang", this young talent found us on the internet. When he first sat in with us, it seemed almost too good to be true.... He was the missing ingredient we needed to turn a great band... into the Best Band! That's because Kevin has the incredible ability to transform himself into the artist whose song he's singing.... and yet still manages to make every song his own. It's almost as if Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and Luther all reside inside this great entertainer! One minute you think Marvin Gaye is singing with band but in an instant, he can "morph" himself into Nat "King" Cole. Her style is as natural as her beauty and her warm & friendly stage presence makes instant friends & fans For this band , she is truly "Heaven Sent" You must hear Yanick sing! Her roots come from her local church choir as a teenager, but she became deeply immersed in Jazz, R&B and Folk, and soon became the lead vocalist for an R&B group that signed with Atlantic/EM records. She left that unit and has become a sought after sessions singer, lending back-up and lead vocals to various studios and artists projects. She was lead vocalist for Dennis Chinelli's "Just Friends Ensemble" and featured vocalist with contemporary gospel group "Inflyte." She has, with her twin sister, an inspiring duo, appropriately named "Twynn" Most recently she has been a member of "The Thomas Riggsby Ensemble." This vocal group specializes in background vocals for large-scale concert performance. With this group Yanick had the pleasure of working with greats such as: Diana Ross, Celine Dion and Barry Manilow. ![]() Gregg Hollister - Bass & Lead Vocals Gregg has an incredibly powerful voice! Besides having a great groove on the bass, He is a seasoned professional with a song list that's a mile long. This talented musician really puts his heart into a song. You've heard him sing on many commercials, among them: Budweiser, Kodak, Grand Union, Listerine, Sony, MCI, Hertz Trucks, and Coldwell Banker He is currently the voice of "The Singing Fish" Billy Bass His film work includes: "The Bad Lieutenant" (staring Harvey Keitel) and "The Driller Killer" (Abel Ferrar) Trailer work on "The Spy Who Shagged Me" He has done industrial shows for Coca Cola, Schering Plough, Chanel, and Mars Candy. Gregg toured with Al Kooper (of Blood Sweat & Tears), Phoebe Snow, Anthem, and The Rock Spurs Gregg has his own CD out called "Watching the Time Go" as well as has his own publishing company called AshLekiMusic. Currently he is working on another solo project with producer extrodinare, Ron St. Germain, who produced Mick Jagger, Ashford & Simpson and 311. Savron Hudson - Drums, Percussion & Vocals (he is also the person you'll be working with) Savron's huge amount of studio experience, both as a player and as a producer, has been a great help in creating the record quality sound of the band. He has worked many times with Desmond Child, who produced Ricky Martin's "La Vida Loca" Recently he Produced 2 records for the popular Jersey band called "The Nerds" as well as film music for Kevin Smith (Director/Producer of "Chasing Amy" & "Clerks). Savron wrote music for "The Equalizer" TV series. and has worked on films which include: Martin Scorceses' "Naked In NY", "Hiding Out" with Jon Coyer, "Consenting Adults" with Kevin Klein, and "See You In The Morning" with Farrah Fawcet & Jeff Bridges, just to name a few. You have heard him play drums hundreds of times on a TV Commercials for, every product from "Coca-Cola" to "I'm a Toys R' Us Kid" as well sports music for the NFL. Savron played with "The Manhattan Transfer", "The Star land Vocal Band" (Afternoon Delight), "The Peggy Fleming Concert On Ice" tour and his own jazz band called "The Main Gazane" which played at the renown "Kool Jazz Festival" In his early years he studied classically at the Dartmouth Summer Congregation Of the Arts and then graduated from Manhattan School of Music, Savron was also with The New Jersey Symphony, American Opera Symphony and has played in the orchestra pit of 33 musical comedy shows. He also designed and maintains this web site. ![]() Dave Crum - Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar and Lead Vocals We are so lucky to have Dave... His ability to play guitar in every style of music is extraordinary... Be it Jazz, Rock, Country, Fusion, you name it, he sounds just like the record. His youthful energy, boyish charm and countless hours practicing his instrument make him a pure delight to have on the bandstand! "Everybody loves Dave" and you will too! ![]() Sean McAnally - Trumpet & Flugelhorn Sean is originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he was a composer, arranger, bandleader, and copyist as well as an outstanding trumpet player. He has done extensive work writing background music and commercials for television and radio. He has toured: Europe with a production of"West Side Story" and Canada with "ELVIS The Musical" (really). Sean has shared a stage with such greats as: James Brown, Petula Clark, Tom Cochrane and Red Rider,, and Soloman Burke, just to name a few. As a composer/arranger, his recording "Something's Here" featured 9 of Sean's tunes and was nominated for a JUNO (the Canadian Grammy) for Best Jazz Recording in 1989 As a band leader Sean's own group "EdJE." (named after a Canadian city) won the Alcan Jazz Award at the Montreal Jazz Festival. They went on to tour Europe which included a performance at the Paris International Jazz Festival. Sean is currently composing a set of pieces for school jazz bands with plans to publish in the coming year. ![]() Ryan Keberle - Trombone Since his arrival in New York City, Mr. Keberle has been a sought-after trombonist in many different styles including big band, avant-garde, Latin, classical, and rock , performing in such venues as Birdland, the Knitting Factory, Alice Tully Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Recently, Mr. Keberle performed on NBC with the 'Saturday Night Live' band and was selected as one of ten finalists for the Thelonious Monk Internation He has performed with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Frank Wess, Jimmy Heath, Slide Hampton, Charles McPherson, Percy Heath, Teo Macero, Joe Lovano, and Eric Reed, among others. Mr. Keberle received the William H. Borden award for musical excellence in jazz upon graduation. He went on to study with Wycliffe Gordon as a part of the Juilliard School's groundbreaking Institute for Jazz Studies. In May of 2003, he became a member of Jazz at Juilliard's first graduating class. Ryan is a incredible jazz trombonist, who graduated from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with critically acclaimed trombonist Steve Turre. Mr. Keberle was selected as the artistic director for New York City's first youth jazz orchestra, the Jazz Band Classic. The band made its premiere with Jimmy Heath in Aaron Davis Hall, and finished its season with an appearance by Slide Hampton in Carnegie Hall. |
